The struggle of sin Paul calls our sinful nature stubborn. He explains that whenever he wants to do something, he ends up doing the opposite. CHARITY
Poverty is a state of deprivation in which people or communities lack access to resources and necessities to live a healthy and dignified life.
Living in poverty means not being able to afford medical care or access to the basics such as electricity, shelter, and food. Improper nutrition can cause stunting and wasting, permanently impacting children’s development. Poverty in countries lacking access to clean water and sanitation leads to the spread of preventable diseases and unnecessary deaths, particularly among children.
Historically, poverty has been calculated based on a person’s income and how much they can buy. Still, new multidimensional measures consider holistic factors impacting people’s quality of life.
Moreover, children living in poverty often face obstacles to accessing quality education, which can perpetuate the cycle of poverty from one generation to the next. For three decades, the number of people living in extreme poverty— those living on less than $2.15 per person per day at 2017 purchasing power parity—was declining. But the trend was interrupted in 2020, when poverty rose due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 crisis. The number of people in extreme poverty rose from 70 million to more than 700 million. The global extreme poverty rate reached 9.3 percent, up from 8.4 percent in 2019. Over 700 million people live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1.90 a day. That’s more than the entire population of the United States, Canada, and the

No matter the circumstances, rejection is difficult to deal with. Nevertheless, as believers in Christ, we are part of a long line of people who have faced rejection for their faith. Many have been martyred, their families murdered, faced great humiliation in their walk of faith. Ishmael suffered because of the sin of his father, […]
Identifying and dealing with negative thought patterns seems like an easy task. Most of our current practices today have been shaped by a collection of experiences and habits from our childhood. As a result of these repetitive patterns, negative thinking might have become an unconscious second nature. That is the reason why breaking and stopping […]
